This year's conference was dominated by the issue of improvement of logistics and manufacturing effectiveness with the application of IT tools and technologies. Participants in the conference also discussed the application of economical techniques and methods to logistics and manufacturing, thus referring to the problem of global crisis.

Discussion directions confirm the up-to-datedness of the main topic of the conference – economy and effectiveness. There was also continued the problem of chain supply and shaping network and partnership relations.

- Somebody once told me that 'If you do something for the third time, this means that you simply care about it and you do it well'. And we have just met here for the third time and it is our common opinion that this is the best conference we have ever organised, said Professor Marek Fertsch, Ph.D., Eng., chairperson of the conference organisation committee. Nevertheless, I wish to assure you that we do not intend to rest on the laurels but wish to further develop. We do care about the conference, added Fertsch, smiling.
